The Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held its Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Department Library, AGLC Building, 4th Floor. The event, which took place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, marked an important milestone for four students officially declared as graduates: Naufal Fathan Fakhrizal, Retno Cahyani Prasetyaningtyas, Hanifa Afifia Sholihatunnisa, and Hafsah Dwi Nur Haliza.

The ceremony was attended by all lecturers from the Department of Agricultural Microbiology, who came to congratulate and celebrate the achievements of the new graduates. In his address, Prof. Ir. Donny Widianto, Ph.D., reminded the graduates that this moment marks the beginning of a new chapter. He emphasized that studying microbiology is not only about mastering scientific knowledge but also about developing an analytical and problem-solving mindset—the ability to identify challenges, seek solutions independently or collaboratively, and apply their skills to real-world contexts.

Meanwhile, Head of the Study Program, Ir. Ngadiman, M.Si., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the graduates’ dedication and perseverance throughout their academic journey. He encouraged them to carry their knowledge with integrity and to continue embodying the values of lifelong learning, professional responsibility, and commitment to contributing positively to society and the environment.

This graduation ceremony symbolizes both the culmination of years of hard work and the beginning of a new role for the graduates as professionals ready to make meaningful contributions to sustainable agriculture and applied microbiology.

The event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, emphasizing the importance of higher education quality and the development of competent and ethical human resources.
