The Department of Agricultural Microbiology held a student evaluation meeting on Wednesday, January 28, at 9:00 a.m., located at the Agricultural Microbiology Department Library, 4th floor of the AGLC Building. The meeting was attended by Agricultural Microbiology students from the 2019 and 2020 cohorts, along with the Head of Department, Mr. Saifur, and the Head of the Study Program, Ms. Desi. This activity served as an open forum between the department and students to discuss academic progress and challenges encountered during their studies.
During the meeting, a comprehensive evaluation of academic activities was conducted, covering learning processes, academic obstacles, and the support needed by students. The students also presented their individual study progress, including completed credits, research activities, and thesis preparation. Through this discussion, the department gained a clearer picture of students’ conditions and formulated strategic steps to support smoother study completion.
The meeting also aimed to identify students’ future plans so that graduation targets could be set in a more structured and realistic manner. With guidance from the Head of Department and the Head of the Study Program, students were expected to gain motivation and clear direction to complete their studies as soon as possible without compromising academic quality. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the improvement of higher education quality and student mentoring, and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by encouraging the development of competent and timely graduates.
