“Microdiscussion: Community Service Program” is a discussion event titled Microdiscussion: Community Service Edition, held on September 8, 2024. The event aims to provide insights to students on various aspects that need to be understood when undertaking a Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata or KKN). Participants of this event included Microbiology students from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts. It was held at the Mina Business Incubator (IMB) Restaurant, Faculty of Fisheries, UGM.
The event featured two inspirational speakers, Muhammad Misbahul Anam, commonly known as Misbah, and Hanifa Afifia Sholihatunnisa, often called Hanifa. The discussion was interactive, allowing participants not only to listen but also to ask questions and engage directly with the speakers.
Misbah and Hanifa shared valuable experiences and tips related to the implementation of KKN, enabling participants to gain deeper insights. Through the Q&A session, participants were encouraged to explore challenges they might face and strategies to successfully undertake KKN. This discussion aimed to broaden participants’ horizons and provide new, useful knowledge from the experiences shared by the speakers.
The main hope of this activity was to enhance participants’ understanding and readiness for KKN implementation while inspiring them through the stories shared by Misbah and Hanifa. This synergy strongly supports achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) targets, including SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
