The Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held a graduation ceremony for seven students on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The solemn event took place in the Ecology Laboratory Room, AGLC Building, 6th Floor, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This ceremony marked a significant milestone for the students who had completed their academic journey in the Department of Agricultural Microbiology. Attendees included academic advisors and examiners, present to honor and support the graduates’ achievements.

In her address, Desi Utami, a microbiology lecturer, emphasized, “Graduation is not just the end of an academic journey but the beginning of making a real contribution to society. We hope the knowledge you have gained will be beneficial and have a positive impact, especially in agricultural microbiology. Always express gratitude to your parents, be thankful for overcoming life’s challenges, and never lose the enthusiasm to face the long journey ahead.”

The graduates were also given the opportunity to share their reflections and messages about their study experiences, expressing gratitude and hope for the future. One graduate, Fika Tri Andaini, expressed her appreciation to the department’s faculty and staff for their guidance and support. “I faced many challenges during my studies, but thanks to everyone’s support, I was able to complete them successfully. I hope to continue bringing pride to UGM in the future,” she shared.

The event concluded with a photo session to commemorate this special moment. With the completion of this ceremony, the Department of Agricultural Microbiology at UGM hopes its graduates will become competent individuals with integrity, ready to address challenges in agriculture and the environment. This initiative strongly supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
