The Agricultural Microbiology Study Program once again conducted an Academic Progress Evaluation activity, this time aimed at students from the 2019 and 2020 cohorts. The event was held online via Zoom Meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM WIB.
Led directly by the Head of the Agricultural Microbiology Study Program, Ir. Ngadiman, M.Si., Ph.D., the session aimed to gather student feedback on the dynamics of lectures, academic advising, and study progress. Despite being held virtually, the discussion was active and interactive, reflecting the students’ enthusiasm in sharing their insights and challenges.
In his opening remarks, the Head of Program emphasized the importance of regular evaluations as a reflection of the study program’s commitment to improving the quality of education and academic services. “We want to ensure that students receive optimal support, both academically and administratively, so their studies can proceed more smoothly and productively,” said Ir. Ngadiman.
Throughout the meeting, students from both cohorts had the opportunity to raise various issues—from the challenges of transitioning between online and offline learning, difficulties in preparing research proposals, to the need for more intensive academic mentoring. The study program team also outlined planned improvements, including strengthening study progress monitoring systems and providing the necessary technical training for students.
This activity served as a vital platform for building two-way communication between students and program administrators. It is hoped that the results of this evaluation will inform more targeted internal policies and better support students in completing their studies on time.
Through this evaluation, the Agricultural Microbiology Study Program demonstrates its commitment to fostering an inclusive, adaptive, and student-centered academic environment. This initiative also reflects the Faculty of Agriculture’s awareness and commitment to achieving the global goal of SDG 4: Quality Education.
