The Department of Agricultural Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), held the Year-End Gathering of Agricultural Microbiology on Tuesday, 31 December 2025, at the Integrated Agrocomplex Laboratory, 1st Floor, Faculty of Agriculture UGM. The event commenced at 1:00 PM WIB and was attended by all lecturers as well as research students of the Department of Agricultural Microbiology who are currently conducting their undergraduate thesis research.
This year-end gathering was organized as a moment of togetherness as well as a reflection on the Department of Agricultural Microbiology’s journey throughout 2025. The event also served as an occasion to bid farewell to two staff members of the Department of Agricultural Microbiology who had completed their terms of service, as a form of appreciation for their dedication, contributions, and service to the department.
In addition, the gathering marked an important moment to welcome the new Head of the Department of Agricultural Microbiology and the new Head of the Agricultural Microbiology Study Program. This welcoming is expected to strengthen the spirit of collaboration, ensure leadership continuity, and reinforce a shared commitment to advancing education, research, and community engagement in the field of agricultural microbiology.
Through this gathering, the Department of Agricultural Microbiology emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong sense of kinship, harmonious communication, and synergy between lecturers and research students. The Year-End Gathering of Agricultural Microbiology aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through efforts to create a supportive academic environment, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by strengthening institutional governance and ensuring a smooth and effective leadership transition.
